How do you build a meal routine when you live alone?

In a kitchen for one the real difficulty is not cooking but hitting the scale. Recipes and packages are usually built for larger tables.

For someone living alone the real difficulty is not cooking but hitting the scale. Recipes are written for four, packages are sold large, and pots are designed for crowded tables. This difference in scale has two results: either too much is cooked and the leftovers wait, or nothing is cooked and the meal comes from outside. This is exactly where the routine has to be built.
