Nutrition Tip

Is the eight glasses of water a day advice right?

The guideline finds this advice too little for some people and too much for others; even so, it says it should be thought of as a good target.

Drink eight glasses of water a day is one of the most repeated sentences in nutrition. TÜBER, Türkiye's national dietary guideline, neither fully confirms this advice nor rejects it; instead it writes its limit plainly: the advice to drink eight glasses of water a day may be too little for some individuals and too much for others, but it should be thought of as a good target.
