In children the fluid need is given separately from the adult one and rises step by step with age. In the reference intake table of TÜBER, Türkiye's national dietary guideline, the recommended adequate water intake is 1.3 liters for ages 2-3 and 1.6 liters for ages 4-6. These values cover the total water coming from foods and drinks; not only the water that is drunk.
