Advertising and Brand Collaborations

We work with brands in the healthy-living space — in forms that protect our editorial independence and are clearly disclosed to the reader.

Collaboration formats

Display ad placements

Defined ad placements on list and content pages. Placements are visually distinct from content and marked as advertising.

Sponsored content

Guides and articles produced with brand support. It is clearly marked as sponsored at the top; the scientific review process is the same as unsponsored content.

Programme and tool sponsorship

Visibility as the sponsor of a specific nutrition programme or calculator. The programme content itself is not interfered with.

Event and content series

Multi-part content series and event collaborations built around a specific theme.

Corporate wellness

Bulk access and expert referral for organisations that want to offer nutrition support to their employees.

Expert and clinic collaborations

Content and referral collaborations run with dietitians, clinics and health organisations.

Editorial independence

A commercial collaboration does not change the scientific basis of content. A sponsor cannot determine a content's scientific conclusion, recommendation, or assessment of a product. Sponsored content goes through the same editorial and scientific review as unsponsored content.

Limits on health claims

This is a health platform; advertising and collaboration content is subject to the same framework. Headlines we do not accept:

  • A claim that a product cures, treats or prevents a disease.
  • A promise of fast, guaranteed weight loss.
  • Language that gives the impression of replacing a physician's or dietitian's assessment.
  • Promotion of prescription medication and product categories the law does not allow.
  • Language that pressures body image and could trigger an eating disorder.

Even accepted content has its health claims assessed together with their source; statements that go beyond their source are not published.

Disclosure to the reader

Every piece of content produced through a commercial collaboration is clearly disclosed to the user. Sponsored content is never mixed with independent editorial content on any surface.

Applying

For us to evaluate your application, it is enough to send us your brand, the collaboration format you propose, and any health-related claims about your product or service. For applications involving health claims, we ask you to also include the sources those claims are based on.

Not every application is accepted: a collaboration request is assessed against our editorial-independence and health-claim criteria, and you are informed of the outcome.

Reach out to us for a collaboration; send your request with its topic and scope, and our team will get back to you. Contact page · Open the form
