What does bringing lunch from home change?

In a meal brought from home you are the one who decides the portion, the content and the time. The real difficulty is not the food but where the preparation fits.

With a lunch brought from home, three things are in your hands at once: what will be eaten, how much will be eaten and when it will be eaten. In a meal bought outside, all three are decided by someone else. The real difficulty is not the food itself but where in the day the preparation fits; when that is not solved, even a well-built plan falls apart in the second week.
