How should you store dry goods?

How long a product in the pantry lasts is decided by the container, the light and the moisture. Visible storage decides how much of it gets used.

Because dry goods wait in the pantry for a long time, the way they are stored decides both how long they last and whether they really get used. A product kept closed, in a cool and dark place, lasts longer; a product you can see into and that stands at eye level gets used more. Both criteria can be observed at the same time.
