Does blending soup make a difference?

Pureeing takes nothing out of the pot; what changes is texture and the speed of eating, while nutrient loss depends on the cooking itself.

On the nutrient side it does not make a big difference. TÜBER, Türkiye's national dietary guideline, ties the loss in vegetables to the cooking method and to the preparation beforehand; in soup the water stays in the pot, so nothing is poured away. What changes is the texture: a bowl that has turned into a puree finishes faster and nothing is left to chew.
