How much oil goes into the pot?

Oil is the item that changes the total most while never showing on the plate. The guideline gives a measure of 5 grams per person for meat dishes and 15 grams for vegetable dishes without meat.

Oil is the item whose measure gets away most easily, because it is poured into the pot from the bottle and never shows on the plate. TÜBER, Türkiye's national dietary guideline, gives a concrete measure here: once the visible fat has been trimmed from red and white meat, adding one dessert spoon, that is 5 grams, of oil per person to the dish is enough; for vegetable dishes without meat that amount should be 15 grams.
