Do frozen vegetables replace fresh ones?

The portion measure is the same for both: one standard portion of cooked vegetables is one cup, that is 150 grams. The difference lies in preparation time and shelf life.

Frozen vegetables count in the vegetable group and their portion measure is the same as for fresh ones: TÜBER, Türkiye's national dietary guideline, gives one standard portion of cooked vegetables as one cup, that is 150 grams. The real difference between the two options appears in practice rather than in nutritional value; a frozen product shortens preparation time, and because its shelf life is long it lowers the chance of being left without vegetables in the middle of the week.
