What should you eat first on the plate?

The order can change how a meal ends without changing the amount on the plate. Starting with vegetables works through the pace.

The same plate can end differently depending on the order in which its items are eaten. Starting with vegetables or with salad gives the meal a slow opening; an item that has to be chewed lowers the speed of the first bites on its own. This is not a rule but a practical arrangement that changes the pace without touching the amount on the plate.
