Nutrition Tip

Does the way you cook an egg make a difference?

The portion measure does not change with the method: two small eggs, that is 100 grams. What changes is the oil added to the pan and what comes alongside.

The portion measure for eggs is independent of the cooking method: TÜBER, Türkiye's national dietary guideline, gives one standard portion as two small eggs, that is 100 grams. What the method changes is not the egg itself but what comes with it; in boiling no oil goes into the pan, while in frying the amount of oil added to the plate becomes part of the method.
