According to the American food database, 100 grams of dry lentils carries 352 calories; when the same lentils are boiled, 100 grams of them falls to 116 calories. Calories do not disappear, the lentils draw in water: a cup of dry lentils weighing 192 grams rises to about three times that, 580 grams, once boiled.
