In Türkiye Beslenme Rehberi, the national dietary guideline, one standard portion of pilav (rice pilaf) is defined as half a cup, that is one level medium ladle or four to five tablespoons, and it corresponds to 90 grams of cooked rice. This measure is the side-dish portion; pilav that comes as a second dish next to a meat or vegetable course counts as two standard portions.
